hello, cupcake
Yesterday: visiting a pub with John Milton.
Today: baking a hundred and fifty cupcakes. (Seriously: yellow is a flavor?)
Thirteen done. And every eighteen minutes, I will rotate, moving from laptop to stove top, shifting lumpy cake mix into tin cups, not minding the glop on my fingers, licking the sugar from the tips.
Christina suggested, in this bout of daily posting, that we list our top ten favorite foods:
- blue cheese, gorgonzola
- chicken (fricassee)
- corned beef and cabbage
- brie and crusty bread
- blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
- summer squash and zucchini, steamed
- asparagus, grilled
- pancakes and maple syrup
- new england clam chowder (& other creamy soup)
- spanikopita & moussaka
