Their Eyes Were Watching God

Their Eyes Were Watching God has been adapted into a movie (produced by Oprah) starring Halle Barry as Janie. It premieres tonight on ABC at 9p Eastern (which means 8 o'clock here in Minnesota). I'm pretty excited, although I won't be able to see it! I am at Ryan's at the moment (and will probably leave in a few hours) and he only gets one station--CBS. I have my parents and Lane & Angie taping it for me (one is backup for the other--I know how video taping goes in this digital age), so hopefully I'll be able to see it some time next week! I would like to re-read the book before I watch it again anyway. It's on my favorites list, which isn't as big of a list as one might expect from such a book nerd. I'll put the current list at the end of this brief posting, in case anyone is curious!
